Have any of you ever read the childhood book "Alexander and The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day"? Well, we had one of those days! My day started not only having to feed my horses, but having to go down the street and feed over 20 horses for a neighbor. That put me behind schedule, and Mondays are already busy around here! Shortly after lunch my brother came in to inform my mamma that the outside freezer was broken. There was stuff thawing all over the well house floor. Yipee!!!! Well, come to find out it wasn't broken, just left open since Saturday. We could never figure out who the guilty party was! My mom, Madeline and I had to cook meat and clean up a mess all afternoon. We now have pounds and pounds of browned ground beef in the INDSIDE freezer (where mamma can keep the door closed!), two meat loaves, about twenty hamburgers AND a whole chicken in the crock pot! The chickens were treated to several bags of mushy fruit! They didn't seem to mind! My poor little siblings looked on at the hard work they had done all summer. What was really bad is that mamma had already laid out beef this morning for dinner tonight! Since it was steak we enjoyed it anyway. I don't think we could have stomached ground beef! We were so glad to get out of the kitchen tonight!
Madeline (who is our family cheerleader) was standing at the stove browning pan after pan of ground beef told mamma that it was ok, God was going to make it go by fast. Then mamma was on the phone with a girl from church and she told mamma that "We plan our days, but God orders them." Thank goodness for positive people! :>)
Stay tuned for a book review later this week. Even though it was a sad book, it brought me closer to the Lord.
Until next time, May the Lord Bless you and your families!

Wow! Sounds like you had a busy day. :P I love that book, Alexander and the Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day!! It is so funny. Yet how true it is to real life. ;-)

Hi McKenzie,
That sounds like a pretty buys day. We have had some trouble with fridges and freezers going out before but so far none as bad as that. I hope the rest of your week goes better.

P.S I found your blog through Madison and Hannah/Rose's blogs. I think you once made a comment on mine also.
Can't wait to see the book review. I love your blog! It's so God honoring! Come and see mine if you have the chance. Sorry about your bad day, but you're so right when you said Praise God for positive thinkers. What would we do without them?
Hi Mckenzie! I'm so sorry about your day! I hate it when things like that happen!
Love,
Miss Jane Bennett
