Happy Birthday Dear Maddy!

March 3 was Madeline's tenth birthday! This birthday was very special for her because Daddy allowed her to get her ears pierced! Madeline was very excited and she enjoyed her day immensely!

When Madeline first woke up on her birthday I got her and Mariah up ( they share a bed) ,wrapped them in their warm bath robes, and served them hot tea down stairs.

Madeline was allowed the day off from school and enjoyed a day of playing. That evening we all loaded up in our van and went to town! Madeline chose to go to our family's favorite Mexican restaurant. Our waiter seemed a bit overwhelmed at how many chips we ate. He looked at me and said, "You guys like cheeps (chips) !" lol, It was so funny:)

After we finished dinner and all our "cheeps" we headed over to the Mall. I could tell Maddy was nervous, but she was determined not to chicken out like I did on my tenth Birthday! (I did not get my ears pierced till I was 12! :)

Here is the video! (Don't forget to go to the bottom of the page and turn off the background music.)

McKenzie,

That's a strange little machine they use to pierce ears. It just goes 'CLICK!'

hi McKenzie Elizabeth! Thank you for the comment. I am going to add this blog to my sidebar, i reallly like it. what a fun birthday! you sound like a great big sis!!!! I got my ears pierced when I was two months old! My mom is a childbirth educator, so she said that the inside of your ear is not fully deloped. So it does not hurt as bad. Anyway's, thank you for the comment again!
Blessings,

Hi! I just found your blog and like it a lot! In our family, the girls get their ears pierced for their 10th birthday too. Your sister did great and looks so cute. :)

I also enjoyed your post about the VF Father Daughter conference. The Botkin sisters sound right on in their thoughts on having a balance between being too friendly and not friendly at all with guys. Thanks for sharing!
