We have twins!

Here is my poor little Rosey not feeling so well.

See the little hoof? We had watched lots of videos on the internet of goat births. Many of them the people would pop the bubble (bag of water). We left her alone and she did great!

Wow, I didn't know I had it in me. This was literally a "learn as you go!"

It's a boy!

Cleaning up my baby, having no idea there was another one. We had read it was common for first time mammas to have just one.

But, seconds later we were pleasantly surprised with........... a little girl! :>)
I was screaming and laughing, I was so excited!Madeline was our video girl. We were looking to see if she had captured it. I will post a video later (for those of you that aren't squeemish!- Daniel, this would NOT be for you!)

Aren't they precious!?!
Mamma was my camera lady, so she had Myles in the front pack for the birth! :>)
Malachi stayed in the house during the birth. He wasn't the least bit interested. When he saw them on the porch he was so shocked!

I am so grateful that part of my family and I were able to witness such an amazing event. Yes, they are only animals, but to see the birth of a new creature reminds me yet again how truly magnificent our Creator is! I hope you enjoyed the peek into our very busy day:)
Blessings to you all...

I'm so very excited for you!!! Isn't the birth downright amazing?! We have popped some of the sacs before, simply because you can pull the kids faster if the doe isn't making progress:)

Isn't the pulling part fun? (I'm sorry if anyone is offended by that...) You're on your way to a pro!!!

Enjoy those little ones, McKenzie! I'm looking forward to the video:)

Love,
Jenna

p.s. Are you going to Dam raise or bottle feed?

How cute! I just returned from a friends' house today and their goats were born this morning! They pretty much let the mama do her own thing and they were fine, so looks like you did great! =) I hope to have goats some day so I love learning!
