Happy Birthday Matthew!

My brother Matthew turned thirteen on New Years Eve. His Birthday is always so much fun.
We had snack foods, ice cream pie (see recipe below!) and punch while we watched movies!

Growing up Matthew and I were always pretty close. But in the last few years he has become one of my best friends. Even though he is younger than me his quiet spirit is always there to quiet my feisty one. Some of the funnest times in my life were playing "Robin Hood", racing through cotton fields, and shooting guns with him.

It is so neat watching him grow in his relationship with the Lord. As he is now entering his teen years I pray that the Lord directs all his paths.

Ice Cream Pie

Crust:

21 oreos

1/2 cup unsalted dry roasted peanuts

1/2 cup butter softened

Blend first two ingredients until fine then blend with butter. Press into deep dish pie plate and freeze for at least 15 minutes.

Filling:

Breyers natural vanilla softened and mixed with 15 chopped, small Reese's cups.

Freeze until hard. Serve with heated hot fudge sauce.
