Strawberries...

This year has been a bad year for strawberries in our area. We typically pick several times so that we have enough for jam, freezing some whole and eating lots fresh. This year we only got to pick once. The crop was just really poor for some reason. Wal-Marts berries just aren't the same!
The place where we pick is in the middle of nowhere. There is nothing but farm land all around.
Madeline heading into the silo to get strawberry ice cream!

They have turned an old silo into an ice cream shop. It is adorable. Malachi was very excited to have his own ice cream cone! :>)

Looking up...

The ice cream shop from the outside.
I made two batches of freezer jam. It is full of sugar, but it is SO good on toast! :>)

Oo, our family loves strawberries! We planted some this year and only have gotten a few. Maybe this just isn't the year for strawberries.

I haven't been here on your blog in awhile! I was looking at my followers and I'm thinking who's that? and then I saw it was you and I thought I should stop by and say 'hi' :D

So, "Hi McKenzie!"

That's the same place we pick strawberries! Doesn't it smell just delightful? ;)
We have pictures on our family blog of us picking there years ago. Such fun family memories. :)
