Fresh from Pecan Pastures...

Busy spring days...

Carrots from our garden this spring. Amazing how much better they tasted than store bought ones!

I am really enjoying my herb garden. I find herbs fascinating and fun to cook with. I am attempting to dry some this year.

With the addition of Olive (my new Saanen goat) we have M.I.L.K. like crazy this year!!! We are really having to get creative in using it.

Quiche.... (yep, uses lots of milk!)

goat cheese...
Creating new meals using fresh herbs and goat cheese.

Tortillas with veggies and ................. yes, you guessed it goat cheese! :) I am learning to flavor it differently depending on what we want to do with it.

Picking strawberries...

and making jam.

Madeline's new baby chicks.

Did I mention how busy we have been!?

May also brought my graduation. I will be posting on that another day!

Until next time...

**Edited- Not sure why I can't post comments today! Very Frustrating. Paul's Family- Send some rain our way! We are already looking like a drought! Mrs. Elizabeth, The chicks are Rhode Island Red. They are a hearty bunch this year! :)

Wow... me is a little jealous, *grin*. Those strawberries look REALLY yummy! Ours are not even blooming yet :( We usually get berries in June/July.
Your carrots look yummy too! That's usually the first thing that we harvest from our garden, and my horses appreciate it almost as much as I do :)
Cute chicks! We just hatched some black ones, I love chicks :) Are you planning on using them for laying hens?

Oh, BTW CONGRATS on graduating!!!! Looking forward to seeing some pictures! ;)
