Looking up to my bedroom...
You know it is fall when the pecan trees start to shed their leaves. They are always the last to bud in the spring and the last to turn in the fall.
I just planted a fall garden last week. I am really looking forward to the lettuce, broccoli and cabbage!

Maybe the pecans are last to put out and last to fall where you live, but where we are the mesquites are later on both counts. :P Wooo, I bet I feel special now.

It was funny, I did a double take when I read that you just planted a garden. It was hard for this manitobian to wrap my mind around that for a sec there... especially since it was snowing here all day :)
