Last month I lost my childhood horse, Abasha. He has been on the blog several times in the past because he was such a big part of our life. While we always kept our other horses in fenced off pastures, he was permitted to roam around our yard. When he wanted something, he would simply walk right up to our back door.
He was an extraordinary horse, and I am sure I will never see another like him.
He allowed me to do so much stupid stuff and never was aggressive.
Together we would explore cotton fields, pine forests, and long dirt roads.
Ironically nothing ever bothered him, except......cows! Oh my, I can remember how we would come to a cow pasture and he would just "freeze". ;) He hated them, and I am not quite sure why.
Saying goodbye to this sweet horse was very hard. So thankful for all the pictures and sweet memories of him!

Okay, I so want to bawl. He was the sweetest horse that ever lived I am sure of it!
Love,
Madeline~
I am so sorry for your loss, I can relate entirely. My horse was taken away from me suddenly. He was a grey Arab, 36 years old.
Alas, all things have their season.

So sorry for your loss McKenzie. I know what you are going through as the same thing happened to me a couple of years back. It's so sad to loose an horse that you have loved for so long :(
