She Makes Me Smile

I love this girl.  Mariah is as vivacious as they come and she embraces life to the fullest.  Wherever I go Mariah is not far behind.  Mariah's personality is similar to mine and she likes to mimic a lot of things that I do.  It is humbling and frightening how much influence I have on her.  I pray that I will always be aware of the example I am setting for her and my other siblings. 

I was talking to another sister in Christ recently, and we both admitted how easy it is to see sin in the life of our siblings and overlook it in our own.  We need to be so careful that we are setting good examples and not succumbing to the sin of hypocrisy.

 

I was across the street yesterday evening when Mariah came flying over to watch me and Madeline take pictures.  As I snapped these pictures of her I was trying to stifle laughter at her fabulous sense of style.  She is wearing an old dress of mine (over her pajamas), an old mop cap of mine, and my old ballet slippers. ;)

 

One last closing thought....Girlhood is beautiful!
